Ground transportation booths can be found on the lower level of each terminal. During peak flight arrival times, you’ll find customer service coordinators at these points to assist you with inquiries about ground transportation at the airport.

Tri-Rail Train Service
Location
The Fort Lauderdale airport station is located in Dania Beach, about 4 miles from the terminals. The Tri-Rail service runs from Mangonia Park to Miami Central, with a total of 19 stations connecting three counties: Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade. VIEW MAP
A free shuttle bus connects the airport with the Tri-Rail station, operating during train service hours approximately every 15–20 minutes.
The shuttle stops are located on the lower level:
- At the west end of Terminal 1
- In the Ground Transportation Area (GTA-2) between Terminals 2 and 3
- At the east end of Terminal 4
Other ways to get to/from the station include taxis, Uber, Lyft, and public buses 4, 6, 15, 16, and 595 Express.

Fares
The Tri-Rail system consists of six zones. The fare is determined by the number of zones you pass through. To find out the number of zones, start counting from the origin station, which counts as zone one. From FLL to Miami, a one-way fare is USD 3.75*.

There are three payment methods:
- Printed ticket (available at vending machines);
- EASY Card (available for a USD 2.00 fee at vending machines and ticket booths);
- EASY Ticket (prepaid option for special events and individuals with disabilities).
The Dania Beach station has a ticket booth on Track 1, available Monday to Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. It is recommended to confirm these hours before your arrival by calling Tel +1 800 874 7245.
Ticket vending machines are available during train operating hours on Tracks 1 and 2. They accept cash, debit, and credit cards.

Route 1
Route 1 travels from the Broward Central Terminal to Aventura Mall in Miami, with a stop at FLL Airport. Buses depart from Stop G at the car rental center and run every 20–30 minutes, depending on the day and time. The fare for a one-way trip is USD 2.00.
