According to 2022 passenger traffic statistics, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (IATA: FLL) was one of the busiest in the United States, ranking 17th in domestic traffic and 11th in international flights. It is one of three airports serving the Miami metropolitan area and operates more than 80 domestic destinations and about 45 international flights daily. It is a hub for Allegiant Air, JetBlue and Spirit Airlines, and is the primary South Florida airport for Southwest Airlines.
During 2023, 35.1 million passengers passed through it. It is located in Broward County, Florida, 3 miles (5 km) southwest of downtown Fort Lauderdale and 21 miles (34 km) north of Miami. (SEE MAP)

Terminals
The airport is open 24 hours a day and has four terminals (1, 2, 3, 4). It is built on a rectangular roadway layout, locating the terminals along the perimeter and placing parking and ground transportation facilities inside. Terminals 3 and 4 are interconnected, while terminals 1 and 2 operate independently, separated both from each other and from the rest of the buildings.
